Practice Description: Ed Turtle is a products lawyer with over 10 years’ experience of product liability, consumer law and compliance matters in the technology, life sciences and consumer product sectors.
Ed helps clients develop, launch and market innovative products. He is sought out for his in-depth experience of product safety, compliance and liability issues, his technical acumen and his practical approach. Ed has a particular interest in new technologies, including AI, AR/VR, wearables, health technology and digital platforms. He is deeply involved in policy and standards development, and supports clients with understanding how future regulation will affect their businesses.
Ed is an experienced litigator, with a particular focus on product liability and consumer class actions. He acted on one of the key European product liability class actions in recent years, and has advised on multi-jurisdictional claims in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Australasia. Edward is also experienced at dealing with regulatory authorities and handling product crises, including global recalls.
Ed joined Cooley in early 2018, after six years at Freshfields. He has spent time on secondment in Germany, and at a major US technology company.
